Squidoo and its Community Are the Best
I have always enjoyed writing. I have written blogs but never knew what to do with them. A friend, Susan52, told me about Squidoo and I made one lens in 2008 then quit until July of 2009 - just let other things derail me. In July 2009 I got serious about making lenses and joined one of the many groups on Squidoo. Here I was challenged to write and publish (lenses) on different topics and also to shoot for the Squid goals, such as Giant Squid and Giant Squid 100.
Our home is in a very rural area and we are retired. My daughter worried that I didn't leave the house more, but on Squidoo I met all sorts of interesting friends from around the world and got all the socializing I needed and wanted.
I met Aylyssa who, at one time, had been homeless and wrote about that experience. I met Flynn-the-Cat who, I believe, lives in New Zealand and does wonderful paintings. There was stargazer00 who lives in Washington State and then there's my longtime friend Susan52 who lives in Arkansas. I feel like all of these people are my personal friends. Squidoo has given me that. I would like to thank Janusz for providing free graphics and logos for the Squidoo community. The logo at the top is one of his.
The purpose of this lens is to honor the founders and great lensmasters on Squidoo with my 100th lens.
